Alcral Infrastructure

Energy & IA Data Centres

Alcral Energy & Infrastructure is a core division of Alcral AG Holding, focused on the development and structuring of real-economy energy and digital infrastructure assets. The division is grounded in execution and asset-level development, rather than theoretical exposure or purely financial positioning.

A key initiative within this division is Data District, a large-scale data centre platform under development in Alberta, Canada, designed to support the next generation of mission-critical digital infrastructure.

Infrastructure

These facilities are conceived as integrated infrastructure assets, not conventional data storage environments. The platform targets a planned capacity exceeding 1 GW, with an initial phase of approximately 240 MW and an estimated investment of c. EUR 780 million across multiple sites. The assets are designed using modular, AI-ready architectures, positioning them to support high-density workloads such as artificial intelligence and high-performance computing.

In parallel with the Alberta development, the Group maintains an active pipeline of comparable data centre and digital infrastructure projects across Italy, Portugal and Switzerland, reflecting a broader European infrastructure strategy aligned with long-term demand for sovereign-grade digital capacity and energy-secure environments.

The Group’s approach recognises that digital infrastructure and energy infrastructure are inseparable. Through its collaboration with Technologies New Energy, the projects integrate power generation, storage and energy management solutions as a core design component, rather than as a downstream consideration.

The selection of locations reflects a deliberate infrastructure strategy, prioritising access to robust energy networks, scalable power resources and resilient transmission systems, enabling the operation of large-scale, energy-intensive digital facilities.

The division operates through structured coordination with industrial operators, energy groups, and leading construction and infrastructure companies, enabling access to technical, operational and execution capabilities consistent with institutional requirements, regulatory frameworks and internationally recognised sustainability standards.

The approach integrates ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) considerations as structural elements of analysis, taking into account environmental and climate-related factors, applicable regulatory requirements, relationships with users and operating environments, and principles of sound corporate governance, in alignment with international sustainability standards applicable to essential infrastructure.

Alcral Energy & Infrastructure is positioned at the intersection of digital infrastructure, energy systems and long-duration real assets, addressing the structural demand for secure, reliable and efficient power required by cloud computing and artificial intelligence ecosystems.

Accordingly, the division functions as a financial stability component within the Group, supporting value preservation, cash flow predictability and a sustained contribution to the Group’s overall financial equilibrium.
